Week 95 - Life в Ноймунстере Week 6: Hey Sanka, you dead?

Ya, man.

Things have been hot here. There is currently a drought here in Germany (and other parts of Europe I've heard) and things have been hot. And humid, as much sense as that makes XD All the moisture is in the air and none of it is in the water. We got a new fan, though, and we've been surviving. See attached image of dying pigeons to confirm statement XD

This week we managed to get an investigator to church for the first time, and if we can work out a way to get him here regularly we may be able to see a baptism here soon!

Other than that nothing to remarkable happened here this week.

I wish you all a wonderful week, keep on keeping on!

Liebe Grüße,

Week 94 - Life в Ноймунстере Week 5: Любовь is in the Luft

Hello one and all, how's it going?

Sorry for the amount of multilingualkeitness I make you all go through. It gets harder and harder to separate them all everyday. I promise that I try my best, though. =)

This week wasn't too terribly eventful as far as interesting happenings, but I would like to share something cool that happened.

Friday and Saturday were days where I felt the spirit much stronger than usual during my studies. I'm not entirely sure what was so special about them, but I was very in tune with the spirit this last weekend. Sunday, as I was pondering about these experiences, I was asked to bless the sacrament. As such, I was sitting up front during the meeting, and noticed someone who had walked in. He is an earlier investigator with which we have had only little contact. He was almost baptized several years ago, but due to some personal struggles and what not he dropped off the face of the earth for a while.

As I looked at him and thought about a few things I had a classic (described as, mind you, this had never happened to me), "see the investigator in baptismal clothes" moment. I was totally overwhelmed with a feeling of love which grew listening to the meeting which centered on Revelation, the Holy Ghost, and baptism. Songs included.

We met with him personally, along with a few of his friends from his previous time as an investigator, during the second hour of church. Long story short, We are meeting with him tomorrow and I expect him to have a baptismal date soon. It was incredible.

I love you all, and I hope that your weeks are full of strange happenings, but in a good way. You feel? Keep up all the good work =)

Liebe Grüße,

Week 93 - Жизнь в Ноймунстере Week 5: And There was much rejoicing

Hey, all. You know the drill, keeping it short, but this week I got some more pictures for yall. This week was pretty great, though. Some highlights:

-We managed to make the majority of our appointments on time despite having no bikes (Pech. We'll be trying to get those fixed right after this.)

-We got an investigator on super soft baptismal date. He is in an interesting situation, where he may be unable to come to church for a while. He lives in a care facility very far from the church, and recently had an operation on his knee. Once his mobility is back up, though, he could be baptized fairly quickly.

-An inactive member who had previously requested no contact now wants to come back to church thanks to some members, some hard work, and the spirit.

-We may also get a good friend of hers to investigate!

-Had Tausch with Elder Seamons. Finally. #WholeMtcGroup We had a good time, and may get another Tausch this transfer.

-Got stuck waiting for a train and then a replacement bus, getting us to our next stop about 2 hours later than planned.

-Had a dope street display where I gave a BoM to the first person I talked to, and got to ask some pretty sketchy questions. #TrustTheSpirit

-Gave a talk and didn't get stoned by the ward afterwards. It couldn't have been too bad, then XD

-We had transfer calls, and Elder Simone and I will be staying here, and going home, together! Cool stuff.

Anyway, I love you all and hope that your weeks are full of happiness! God loves you and is looking after you. If you look for his hand you will find it!

Liebe Grüße,

Week 92 - Life in Neumünster Week 4?: Rushed

This week we had a lot of appointments fall out. It was schade, but what do you do? We still managed to stay busy and got some other stuff done, so that was good. We got to meet with members a lot, and that was super fun. Basically all the members here are ballers. We also got to meet our new mission president, President Leimer. He is super cool, but there will be some changes to adjust to. I have the least time that I have ever had to write a weekly, so I'll leave it at that. I hope you all have a good one!
Liebe Grüße,
Elder Austin Spaulding

P.S. Enjoy this picture of me wearing a head scarf, and don't ask any questions. I look good though, don't I?

Week 91 - Life in Neumünster Week 3: The Service Project Strikes Back

Hey Fam! My P-Day got frontal assaulted by a surprise service project, so I have to keep this super short. I have you all love though!

This week was super crazy, we had an average of several appointments a day. The only day which was mostly empty was Wednesday, as Elder Simone got sick. We stayed home for most of the day, but still helped a member with a move later in the evening.

He also came to a Street display later in the week. Technical difficulties and lack of time keep those pictures from you, I'll try next week.

Other than that we mostly met with members. We are working with a ton of less active members. It's super cool helping them to regrow their testimonies.

I love you all, keep up the everything!
Liebe Grüße,
Elder Austin Spaulding
