Week 13 - Life in Bernburg Week 8: You Know it's New Years in Germany

Sorry, friends, It's a little late, but have you a Christmas card! We made these, and they're wonderful. The picture on the bottom is my favorite. (The middle says "Wir sind noch am Leben!" which means "We're still alive!" We thought it was necessary to mention.)

This week was once again fairly uneventful (Christmas and New Years kill missionary work), hopefully soon everything will be up and running again.

We however, had an amazing New Years. The Germans do it right. Sadly, the videos we took are a little too big to send in an email, but do yourselves a favor and look up "German New Years Fireworks" or something on youtube. It's ridiculous.

We also had a meal with Familie Zimmerman yesterday, and they gave us two more "New Years Gifts"

At the party with Schwester Eissing Elder Mayer asked Bruder Zimmerman how one comes into posession of a Deutschebahn tie (Bruder Zimmerman works for Deutschebahn, and the ties are part of the Deutchebahn uniform) as a joke.

They gave us each a tie! Elder Mayer Frohed himself pretty hard, I still don't get the big deal, but apparently every missionary wants these (and apparently I'll need to guard it from future comps).

We then proceeded to take a fashion shoot for Christmas, so enjoy the pictures!

Man, I don't think I'm capable of taking a bad picture...

I really like this picture, we look good...

Yep, It looks good in Black and White, too.

These pictures are so great, feast your eyes on our fancy German/British fanciness!
